COUPLE: Justin and Casey

VENUE: home

Today was anything but what Casey and Justin had planned. Due to COVID-19 the wedding they'd spent months planning was delayed until April 2021. They decided to still get married on their original day if they could. A little over a week before their original day the county clerk's office started giving out marriage certificates again making it all possible!

On the day of their elopement it started pouring right as the ceremony started. Thankfully we had a pop up tent set up. They shared their vows with one another while we held the tent down. Casey's grandma even got to call in and watch. It was intimate and beautiful. I'm glad they went ahead with their day; it was a great reminder of what's most important at a wedding- the couple.

You know those people that you can tell just about anything and you will get zero judgement-- that's Shelby. I remember the first time we met. I said something along the lines of wearing an uncomfortable bra. First of all, not sure who talks about bras to potential clients, but I just blurted it out. I guess because I felt like I already knew her. Her response- I didn't need to put on a bra just to meet her. She 100% meant it. She's just one of those people that's very go with the flow and just wants everyone to be comfortable and be themselves.

Their engagement session was one of my favorites. Nick was grinning the entire time, even though it was windy and cold and well, most men don't look forward to engagement sessions. He was all for my crazy ideas, even running up behind Shelby and giving her a bear hug.

Their wedding day was nothing short of gorgeous. Even with a few hiccups that morning, Shelby was naturally as cool as a cucumber and everything came together perfectly. Nick had a big smile on his face when she walked down the aisle, not too different from the smile he had during their engagement session. They exchanged beautiful vows with their closest friends and family standing alongside.

Congrats to you both and I wish you both a future full of compassion and lots of laughter!

These two are some of the sweetest people I've ever met. I've loved getting to know them more over the past year and watching them get married. Here are just a few of my favorites from the day.

Jami's dress was from Gretchen's Bridal. They used photos from their engagement session in a book for guests to sign. Also, Jami had photos of loved ones put onto a clip for Cole to wear inside of his suit.

I'm all for couples taking a minute for themselves, even if they don't want to have a first look. Early on in the day Cole and Jami exchanged letters and prayed with one another.

The bridesmaids because you can't get married without your girls!

These groomsmen had me laughing the whole time!

Moments before the ceremony.

The ceremony!

The reception!

A few more of my favorites from the day. Thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding and congrats on your future together. I can't wait to see the rest of your love story unfold.
