There’s a sign in my house that says “this kitchen is for dancing.” As a mom of two boys, those kitchen floors have seen muddy shoes, bruised knees, and plenty of messes from my little sous chefs. Some days we take the sign literally and dance away the stress of the day; other days it’s a gentle reminder for me to slow down and savor the moments – to embrace the muddy shoes after playing in the rain, to give magical kisses for the bruises, and to let them be messy when they’re whipping up some brownies. Those are the moments I want to freeze and keep with me forever.
Every family has their own special memories that are worth preserving: the loud, chaotic days of raising giggling toddlers; the quiet, fragile nights rocking your newborn; or the liveliness of school days, sports, and dance classes. No matter what stage of life your family is in, I will be there to photograph authentically and candidly.
